Departmental/UCAS Visit Days
If you don’t make it to an Open Day, you will still have the opportunity to visit if you apply for one of our undergraduate programmes and are made an offer. As an offer-holder you will automatically be invited in to the University on a Departmental Visit Day. Visit Day formats vary but you will typically spend up to a day in your department of choice, meeting with staff and students, finding out more about your chosen degree programme, and touring the departmental and University facilities.
Centralised Visit Days
This year (for entry 2013), we will be running two Centralised Saturday Visit Days for offer-holders on the 2 February and the 2 March. On these days, in addition to the Departmental Programmes, the University will be showcasing what we feel are its best extra-curricular schemes and activities aimed towards students. Aside from programmes for volunteering, work placements and for study advice and support, there will representatives from Admissions, Finance, Accommodation and many others to answer your questions.
For visitors attending the Centralised Visit Day on 2 March, a map of the Whiteknights campus is available to view online, highlighting the buildings and catering outlets that will be open on the day. Click here to view the Centralised Visit Day Whiteknights campus map >>>
Please note that not all departments are participating in a Centralised Visit Day. As an offer holder you are welcome on both days, however, please be aware that there may not be a programme specific to your course available. For more information about Visit Days, please contact your department.
Financial Assistance to attend visit days/interviews
The University of Reading provides bursaries to offer-holding students from areas of low university participation in the UK. These Pre-Entry Bursaries cover the student's travel costs by public transport to a University Visit Day or interview prior to accepting a place.
