    Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Reading is one of the few universities where undergraduates are given the opportunity to actively contribute to the creation of knowledge through participation in University research. The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP) offers paid summer placements to undergraduate students working alongside academic staff.A UROP placement can make a significant contribution to your transferable skills, employability and understanding of the research environment.

    Erasmus and study abroad opportunities

Most subjects at Reading give students the chance to study abroad as part of their degree providing students with the opportunity to live and learn at partner universities throughout Europe (via ERASMUS) and the rest of the world. Skills and experiences gained whilst studying abroad have been proven to enhance employability, broaden subject knowledge and improve degree classifications. Many partner institutions teach in English, and there are grants and bursaries available to help meet the costs.
